In case if you have not heard yet!
The University of Akron Concrete Canoe and
Steel Bridge Teams competed against thirteen
universities and colleges from the ASCE Ohio
Valley Student Conference.
This region includes schools such as Ohio
State University, University of Kentucky,
University of Cincinnati, as well as many
other outstanding schools. Through hard work
and dedication, the students from our very
own University of Akron Civil Engineering
Department found great success.
Our Steel Bridge Team took First Place Overall, while winning six of
seven categories in the competition.
Our Concrete Canoe Team placed second in Presentation and second in
many of the races!

Also, our Freshman Concrete Disc Golf team placed third overall.

Our Concrete Canoe Team placed second in Presentation and second in
Men's and Coed Sprints! We also placed second in the Men's endurance
race and third in the Women's sprint race.
